Scenario planning tools allow for quick visualizations or demonstrations of effects, whether or riders, revenues, networks, or other factors, as a result of small changes to transit service and network. These tools have the potential to allow for better integration of transit data to offer quicker updates to transit systems that would be more responsive to changes in demand and need. Refer to the scenario planning article for a more complete discussion of this practice and the variety of definitions of scenario planning.
