The Project Evaluation Visualization (PEV) web application was designed to make it easier to interact and navigate with all of the data generated for the project evaluation and comparison in the 2016 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) of the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC). The RTP has 798 projects, 163 of which have scheduled federal funding and were individually evaluated. The RTP process included a benefit-cost ratio for 2015 and 2040, as well as 7 needs criteria and 6 performance criteria.[1]. PEV makes it possible to look at a number of factors across projects. A scatter plot can be populated with all projects, or just the projects in a specific county. Criteria can then be set for the x axis, y axis, size of points in the scatter plot, and color, allowing for multi-variable comparisons. PEV also shows specifics for any given project, and offers a comparison with the region and county average.
