General Transit Feed Specification is a mainstay of transit trip planning, with extensions such as GTFS-realtime and GTFS-flex offering additional functionality. Emerging technologies such as Mobility Data Specification may provide insights as to how traditional public transit can better integrate with new modes of shared mobility.
